Much loved by audiences up and down the UK and now in Europe, Ben Holder is an astonishingly accomplished jazz violinist and he adores the music of these two great 20th century jazz / classical / musical composers (Cole Porter and George Gershwin). Ben will be creating 90 minutes of music including his interpretations of hits like S’Wonderful, Embraceable You, Let’s Do It, Love For Sale and many more. The concert also features star Canadian guitarist Dominic Ashworth who has worked with Ben to curate this superbly entertaining set of music. On bass we have Paul Jefferies and Grammy Award winning drummer Rob Brian completes the lineup.

Band leader, BBC Radio presenter and educator Dr Linley Hamilton MBE is a stalwart of jazz in Ireland and beyond. He has recorded with Van Morrison, Jazqui Dankworth and Irish Folk legend Paul Brady. Linley’s true love is Jazz music and the more swinging the better, so expect a varied programme of jazz featuring a dynamic rhythm section led by Paris based pianist Eddie Gripper with bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Nick Millward.

Actually the brainchild of Club owner Jayne Jefferies, this project takes Burt Bacharach’s music and creates sumptuous, gently reimagined versions either sung or instrumental that are full of new character and invoke some intriguing jazz improvisations. Top UK vocalist Catherine Sykes sings her favourites and Alex’s long time collaborator and Paul Jefferies plays bass - the whole project is delicately underpinned by drummer Euan Palmer. Expect melodies from film and the worlds of pop - classics like Arthur’s Theme, Alfie, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Wives and Lovers and many more.
